Noel DeVries, Employing Broker

Meeting Our Employing Broker:

Noel DeVries

What about your work excites you?  I love helping people! When I finally realized I had some God-given abilities that could serve others in the specific arena of real estate, I got excited about my work! It became a passion.

How do you serve others?  I have for years served in my local church usually in children's programs and music, but I have found so many new ways to serve others in business recently with opening a store, a coffee shop and continuing to serve my clients in the arena of real estate. An example of how important it is for me to go above and beyond, I once showed a client over 70 properties before they actually made an offer. It's just what I do.

How do you keep pumped to help others?  Finding the right home for my buyers or winning a bidding war is a great adrenaline rush for me. I love seeing people happy and enjoying the final product.

If you weren’t doing what you are today, what other job would you have?  I am totally in my element right now. I am doing all the things I love. My kiddos have all grown and although I miss the days of high school sports, running them around everywhere, cooking and cleaning for them, I enjoy what I do and have found my niche in real estate and small business ownership.

What is your favorite dessert?  Anything with lots of butter and chocolate.

Tell us about your family?  I am married to a pastor, I have four grown children, two in the Air Force, one is a nurse and the other is part owner of Due South Store. She is married to my other business partner, Brett Hill, who has three kiddos which call me "Gigi". I'm in love with grand-parenting!

What words of wisdom do you live by?  I am a firm believer that the true words of wisdom are found in the Bible. I desire to pattern my business and life practices after these truths and one of my favorite verses is Mark 10:45, "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many." I hope to pattern my life after serving and not being served.
