Firestone, Colorado is located on the northern edge of the Denver-Boulder metropolitan area, with spectacular views of The Rocky Mountains. The Town of Firestone was ranked #24 in the “Best Places to Live among America’s Small Towns” by Money Magazine. The community was also highlighted for its open spaces, outdoor recreational opportunities, and growing economy. In 2014, Firestone was ranked 2nd Safest Small Town in Colorado, and 6th Safest Small Town in the United States. There are three school districts serving the area, St. Vrain Valley School District, Weld County School District RE-1, and Weld RE-1 School District. Firestone is part of the Carbon Valley Park and Recreation District, which serves Firestone, Frederick, and Dacono.
 
The main recreation facility includes a 25-yard, 6-lane lap pool along with an activity pool that offers logs, a lazy river, an 18-foot slide, and a children’s splash pool. The aquatics section also includes a steam room and a sauna for guests to enjoy. Outside of the pool area, the facility contains a dance studio, two gymnasiums, cardio fitness studios, a state-of-the-art weight room, a childcare area, and meeting spaces. Firestone has many neighborhood, community, and regional parks, including a regional sports complex. Miles of trails make up the Firestone Trail system, which is part of the regional Colorado Front Range Trail system. The community is also home to the award-winning Saddleback Golf Club and St. Vrain State Park, which is the only state park to annex within the town’s limits.
