Sitting at an elevation of 4,792 feet, Frederick, Colorado is a vibrant and growing community along the front range of The Rockies. Frederick is also home to the MIners Memorial Museum which was designated a historic landmark on January 26, 2012. Frederick is served by St. Vrain Valley Schools, which include Frederick Senior High School, Thunder Valley K-8, Legacy Elementary, and Carbon Valley Academy. Adjacent communities to Frederick are Firestone to the North, and Dacono to the South. Frederick, Firestone, and Dacono generally being called the 'Tri-Towns' or the 'Tri-Town area', the area locally being called 'Carbon Valley'.
