Loveland, Colorado often called the “Sweetheart City” or “The Gateway To The Rockies”, lives up to both nicknames. Founded in 1877 along the newly-constructed line of the Colorado Central Railroad, near its crossing of the Big Thompson River. Loveland is close to both Denver and Fort Collins but has substantially lower home costs and cost of living than either city.
